Bill is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. He has received MBSR Teacher Certification from the Oasis Institute at the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Healthcare, and Society at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He has also received certification as a Certified Mindfulness Teacher – Professional through the International Mindfulness Teachers Association. In addition, he holds certification as a Koru Mindfulness Teacher through the Koru Mindfulness Program (previously at Duke University). In order to provide tele-health counseling, he is a Certified Clinical Telementalhealth Provider. Bill has been practicing various forms of meditation for almost 30 years. Bill’s experience as a teacher of mindfulness comes from his training through the Center for Mindfulness and his practice of Zen and Taoist meditation. Bill was previously a Sr. Dharma Teacher in the Korean Zen Tradition. Bill has been offering classes in Mindfulness Based Interventions since 2008. In 2021, Bill retired from a full-time faculty position at Delaware Technical Community College, where he was the Coordinator of the College-wide Task Force on Mindfulness and was responsible for developing and implementing mindfulness classes for students, faculty, and staff and had developed three successful mindfulness summits for the community. Bill continues to offer mindfulness classes, mindfulness-based counseling services, and spiritual mentoring through his organization, The Delaware Center for Mindfulness, LLC.
