I have been working in the field counseling individuals for six years. I believe that everyone comes from a unique walk of life, and that at times it may feel as if no one could truly understand what you are going through or have been through, but I would like to try. I want to help you address your identified issues in a manner that promotes your belief system’s development and growth. I see individuals live in inner or outer turmoil because their thoughts, emotions or behaviors don’t fit their beliefs about themselves, others or the world.

Expectations or perceptions about oneself, others or the world seem to be too high or too low. I am here to help you explore your beliefs, thoughts, behaviors and emotions in a way in which you always feel supported and unjudged. We will explore your past experiences and how they shaped you and explore and apply evidence-based therapy strategies that will help you become the person you want to be. I integrate a multitude of evidence-based strategies tailored to your specific needs. My favorite strategies are Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness Based Relapse Prevention (MBRP), Narrative Therapy (NT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and families, Integrative Medicine, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Somatic-based trauma approaches.

I am educated and experienced with other therapeutic strategies and theories as well. You are your own best expert. I am here to support you and help you to develop your own insight, perspective and behaviors in a way that promotes positive growth for you and those you love. I am comfortable working with individuals, couples and families with a wide range of issues and/or diagnoses.
