about us

Mindfulness practices and minfulness-based interventions have been shown to create and strengthen the architecture of the brain which allows us to benefit from psychotherapeutic and healing practices.

Mindfulness is not a set of techniques, however, and unlike other modalities, mindfulness cannot be learned without a foundation of practice. One can no more learn and integrate mindfulness practice than one could learn to play an instrument without practicing. The literature is quite clear regarding the importance of the provider own practice.

And this is where the Present Center for Mindfulness and Healing comes in.

Each one of our providers has a strong foundation in mindfulness and has their own dedicated mindfulness practice. We are also commited to helping other professionals develop and deepen their own practices, believing that the more skillfully providers are able to embody mindfulness, the better patients heal; and that is good for everyone.
